New Kingspan Insulated Panels Headquarters

December 15, 2008 marked the day that Kingspan Insulated Panels, Inc. employees traded in their temporary trailer for a new 10,800 square-foot facility. Following its acquisition of MeTecno USA in August 2008, Kingspan established the official headquarters for its U.S. metal panel division in Deland, FL.

Construction began in March 2008, and employees eagerly moved into their new offices just in time to start the New Year. The Florida location serves as both the Kingspan ASI facility and the U.S. headquarters for Kingspan Insulated Panels, Inc. Additionally, the site includes a new 14,400 square-foot warehouse located across from Kingspan’s Deland manufacturing plant.

Prior to the building’s completion, personnel spent four years in a 6,800 square-foot trailer located across the street from the property. “We couldn’t wait for the new offices to be finished,” admits Marketing Coordinator Lisa Fischer. “With all the changes that took place this past year, it was nice to finally feel settled.”

The new location, which features two floors of offices and conference rooms, served as the site for the company’s first board meeting in January 2009. The core Deland-based team includes the Marketing Department and IT Director for Kingspan Insulated Panels U.S. operations as well as Kingspan Group’s Vice President of Finance and Credit Department.

“There is definitely a different feel to the new building,” explains Marketing Manager Rachel Scholan. “People come to work much happier and are taking much more pride in their new workplace.”

The Deland facility features 6,000 square feet of Kingspan ASI 320 Granitstone panels with the Sandstone finish. Morin provided 950 square feet of X-12 panels for the Regal Blue angled front entrance and 600 square feet of SLR-16 Standing Seam Roof panels in Silver.

The project team includes project architect BPF Designs and general contractor TG Glass and Associates, both located in Daytona Beach, FL.

Effective on August 22, 2008, Kingspan Insulated Panels, Inc. acquired MeTecno USA, including all its divisions – API, ASI, Benchmark, and Morin.
